South Africa [order]Itinerary 1: Week-end - Bush & Beach Special: Tuesday to Monday:
2 nights / 3 days on safari with 3 nights / 4 days on the beach.
Day 1
Tuesday 2005
Arrive Johannesburg International Airport, own arrangements. After immigration and customs formalities you will transfer the short distance to the domestic departures hall and board SA Airlinks 1 hour domestic flight to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA). On arrival at KMIA you will be met by Dive The Big 5 for the 45 minute road transfer to the Mthethomusha Game Reserve which borders onto the world famous Kruger National Park. On arrival at Mthethomusha you will be introduced to your ranger who will transfer you in an "open 4x4 Land Rover" the 7 kilometres up the mountain to CC Africa's Bongani Mountain Lodge. You will arrive at Bongani in time to join the evening safari which departs the Lodge at 16h00. At sunset you will stop for "sun-downers" somewhere in the bush whilst you watch the sun slowly dip below the horizon. You will continue with the game drive looking for the nocturnal animals (lion, leopard, civet, genet, bush baby etc) with the aid of a powerful spot lamp. Depending on animal activity you will return to the lodge at about 20h00 for dinner which is served in the 'boma" under the African stars and alongside a roaring log fire. Day 2
Wednesday 2005
Full day spent game viewing at Bongani. You will be woken just before dawn for early morning, tea and coffee which is served at the main lodge before venturing out for the early morning game drive. Again, depending on the animal activity we will return to the lodge at about 09:00 for breakfast. After breakfast you are free to enjoy the tranquillity of the African Bush. You can either go for a bush walk in "Big 5" country with your armed ranger & tracker, go down to the viewing deck and sit quietly and watch the game come down to drink during the heat of the day, spend the time bird watching in and around the camp or just laze by the pool. After afternoon tea and coffee you will again set out for the afternoon/evening game drive. Overnight at Bongani Mountain Lodge on a fully inclusive basis.
Day 3
Thursday 2005
After the early morning game drive and breakfast Bongani will transfer you in the Land Rover back to the parking lot where Dive The Big 5 will meet you and transfer you back to KMIA where you will connect with your 1 hour SA Airlink flight back to Johannesburg International where you will board the City Lodge "shuttle bus" for the short transfer to your hotel. Day 4
Friday 2005
You will be collected from the City Lodge at 06h00 by a representative of Dive The Big 5 for the transfer across town to Lanseria Airport to board Charlan Air's charter to Inhambane in Mozambique which departs at 08h30. On arrival at Inhambane at 10h20 you will clear immigration and customs before being met by the staff of Guinjata Bay Resort for the one hour transfer through coconut plantations and coastal dune forests to Guinjata Bay Resort. Saturday 2005
Your day on the beach! Two dives on the famous Manta Reef, weather permitting. It's a 25 minute boat ride to get to Manta Reef, but only if you don't stop to swim, snorkel or dive with the many Whale Sharks that you are likely to encounter along the way. Manta Reef has at least 3 manta cleaning stations on it and is also a macro photographers dream. This is tropical coral reef diving unequalled anywhere else on the African coast. The afternoon is free to explore the mile and miles of "squeaky clean" uninhabited golden beaches or go snorkelling on the reefs close to the resort or hire quad bikes and go and visit the local villages. The hospitality of the locals will knock you out - this is Africa! Overnight at Guinjata Bay Resort on a fully inclusive basis.
Day 6
Sunday 2005
Unfortunately only 1 dive today, weather permitting, as you fly out tomorrow at 10h50. Surface interval time remember!!. Rest of the day free to explore Africa. Overnight at Guinjata Bay Resort on a fully inclusive basis.
Day 7
Monday 2005
After breakfast Guinjata Bay Resort will transfer you back to Inhambane Airport where you will again board Charlan Airs return flight to Lanseria Airport on the outskirts of Johannesburg. On arrival at Lanseria Airport you will again be met by a representative of Dive The Big 5 for the 1 hour transfer across town to Johannesburg International Airport where you will connect with your return flight home, own arrangements.
Itinerary 2: Mid week - Bush & Beach Special
This tour is similar to the above but offers:

5 nights / 5 days on the beach
